Telcoin team new members!
We are very happy to introduce our new team members
Matthieu has over 10+ years developing backend services for online games and MMOs. Some of the projects he has worked on include Dofus, Wakfu, Gangs of Space & Grand Summoners. A self proclaimed programming language geek during the day, gamer during the night.
“I am really looking forward to working with Telcoin on improving state of the art blockchain technologies.”
Bad was a project manager for Societe General and BNP Paribas (production and infrastructure) in the banking industry, he also previously worked as a software engineer, designing and developing backend oriented solutions like REST API for startups specialized in social networks.
“Coming from the banking industry and as a developer that loves new technologies, getting closer to the crypto world was evident. I chose Telcoin because its goal of helping unbanked people to reduce their expenses in money transfer means something to me, and I am very excited to be joining the team”
Welcome Matthieu & Bad

Recently our CEO Claude was interviewed by Nischala Murthy Kaushik – Global Marketing Head of Wipro and asked to expand on the necessity of blockchain use in the future and how Telcoin plans to harness this technology in order to be a major force in our field for the years to come.
We would like to thank Wipro for trusting our vision and being amazing partner and Nischala for giving us the opportunity to voice our vision to the whole Wipro audience.

Earlier in the month we asked community members to submit questions they may have about Telcoin to our CEO Claude for an Ask Me Anything.

You asked, so we answered!

A word from Eric Chung – Head of compliance and operations
As Telcoin expands globally, we are confronted with fitting into existing money remittance regulations in each region as well as new legislation covering cryptocurrencies that are often in various phases of consultation before becoming law.
That means not only does Telcoin need to obtain money changer/remittance licenses/registrations in established 1st world regimes but as there are no rules covering cryptocurrencies, we are constantly working with regulators, our World class legal counsel, along with local experts & working groups in influencing current proposed legislation on cryptocurrencies throughout the globe.
Without established rules, it’s often illegal for crypto companies to operate in 1st world countries which is why outside of the US and China, Telcoin is fully complying with regulators to enable remittances for our customers.
In 3rd world countries like in Southeast Asia, some jurisdictions have a pro-crypto approach and we are on the frontlines ensuring that once consumers receive Telcoin, they are able to use it in their respective countries while creating working solutions for regimes who have been traditionally closed to anything crypto.
Government agencies are not the quickest in implementing change as they don’t understand this brave new blockchain world and how it impacts the population at large. Fortunately, our Compliance and Operations team are able to help them along as they come equipped with knowledge and experience from the investment banking world which also recently went under heavy regulatory reform after the Lehman Brothers’ crisis involving OTC derivatives.
Change is coming, slowly but surely and Telcoin will be there.
Thank you for your continued support.
